On what was a nostalgic trip for me to The Beeches, home of Tividale FC, groundsharers Black Country Rangers made full use of their game in hand to move three points clear at the top of the West Midlands League Division 2. They eased to a 5-0 victory over Ettingshall Park Farm, who will finish the season at the foot of the table. My previous visit to the ground was 22 years ago in April 1988 when Tividale lost 3-0 at home to Oldbury United. Rangers now visit second-placed Wem on Saturday with both sides having three games left.
